Just because. I like him shaggy. And he's going to get shaggier.

New Camera

The EPU was gifted a bright, shiny, fancy, serious digital SLR camera by very dear friends (Thanks M & T!!!!!) who, the story goes, were tired of seeing "grainy" photos on the site (though the EPU thinks that is simply a cover story for their inherent goodwill and generosity to others). The camera apparently takes great photos regardless of the skill of the photographer - COOL!

Scenes From a Movie

Che had a very nice weekend. He was sprung from the kennel after three days and got to spend the weekend with two of my friends and their dogs while I was away. In this photo, Che and his friend Chance appear to be reenacting a scene from Wes Anderson's The Royal Tennenbaums.

Che realizes that his pillow forts can be slept on and in, and not just used as bulwarks against anti-socialist forces.

Che hanging out with his friend Penny. They'd have really cute puppies if only they could (which neither of them can, but still, if they could, they would be really, really cute, but they can't, but still....).

After the Hunt

On their walk earlier this afternoon, Che and Giacomo took down a Water Buffalo. Here they can be seen gnawing on some of the remains.

It may LOOK like all the earlier photos of Che and Giacomo sleeping in harmony, but it really is a fresh photo - taken today. Giacomo was over yesterday, and they both got worn out, and this is the result. Peace in our time!

Synchronized Sleeping

Che and Giacomo practicing their Synchronized Sleeping routine last week. Synchronized Sleeping will be a medal sport for the first time at the 2012 London Summer Olympic Games, and Che and Giacomo plan to be there.

* Editor's Note - There were good (even great) mope rock bands from the 80's, e.g. Echo and the Bunnymen, the Smiths just weren't one of them (and in fact are one of the worst bands of all time).

Baby Pics

Che is ~8 weeks old and about 4.5 lbs in the picture above. He's going to be so embarrassed when he sees this.

A few minutes after the photo in the post below was taken, Che went to go sleep in another bed; though the peace continues.

Peace In Our Time?

Having finally procured cloned rawhide roll-ups, the parties agreed to cease rassling and gnaw in peace, love and understanding (for the time being of course).

Hope for Detente?

A brief cease-gnawing was agreed upon to see if detente could be achieved. Talks broke down when neither side would agree to take the smaller rawhide roll-up.*

Battle Royale*

Che and his friend Giacomo taking a break from their epic battle royale (for possession of a raw hide roll-up) to have their picture taken. They wanted to make sure the event is memorialized for future generations, to accompany the odes and eddas that will surely be written.
